In 2003, RF Technologies chose a path. We chose to incorporate Clinical Education and Clinical Design as integral components of Safe Placed Infant Security Solutions. This path has placed us in a unique position in the industry; it differentiates us from our competitors, and in the end, it creates the best value for our customers. We are the first to market with clinical Nurse-to-Nurse training on Infant Security.

Safe Place is a comprehensive Infant Security System designed by nurses with nursing in mind. The clinical improvements to the hardware, the software, and the education are based on an actual infant abduction. Fortunately, the abduction incident ended positively, with the infant safe and sound. This incident prompted the entire healthcare industry to look at infant security with new eyes.

The incident also prompted RF Technologies to take action. We hired a Clinical Product and Education Director, and started implementing new ideas from a nursing perspective. We set in place new standards, new abductor profiles, new awareness, and an entire Clinical Education Program advancing Infant Security nationwide.

RF Technologies recognized quickly that the key to a successful technology implementation is a highly skilled nursing staff, and that the success of security systems, plans, and policies, are all based on knowledge and how that knowledge is used within each facility.
