Staff Duress Pendant Improves Safety

Help Alert® E-Call allows a doctor, nurse, or other staff to discreetly send a distress call when assistance is needed. This Staff Duress wireless device allows personnel to move about your facility with the confidence that they can easily summon help with the press of a button. The Pendant can be worn around a staff member’s neck or clipped to a belt, allowing for a quick and discreet signal to be sent to the monitoring system. The Help Alert® Software is displayed on a monitor with facility floor plan display for accurate location notification. The Help Alert® E-Call Solution enables hospitals to secure staff in areas, departments, and entire facilities with a customized application based on the PinPoint® RTLS platform – the most sophisticated RTLS platform available on the market.

Next Generation Peer-to-Peer Wi-Fi Technology

The battery-based Wi-Fi Pendant and Reference Tag system can be easily deployed in facilities that have existing Wi-Fi infrastructure. Deployment of the Reference Tags is as simple as attaching them to a wall or ceiling, without power or data cabling requirements, and without any additional Wi-Fi access points. The Reference Tags form a Peer-to-Peer network and enable Help Alert® Pendants to determine their exact location. The Help Alert® Peer-to-Peer Wi-Fi Pendants and Reference Tags will work seamlessly with the Wi-Fi access point infrastructure of any vendor. The system’s location engine is based on the PinPoint® RTLS platform – first in the industry to deliver Peer-to-Peer, tag communication technology.

Handheld Real-Time Location Device

The Help Alert® E-Call Solution includes mobile access functions via a PDA. This component allows security personnel to receive visual and audible notifications, and disable an alarm at the point of incident. The Mobile Location device also provides communication with the Reference Tags and Pendants for deployment, configuration, and general management of the system. This mobile component is based on the PinPoint® Mobile Asset Tracking software.
