Code Alert® Wandering Management
The Code Alert Wandering Management Solution provides notification of an attempted
elopement. This system utilizes a transmitter worn around the wrist that continuously
sends out a signal to identify the resident; when the resident tries to open a system
controlled door, an alarm is sounded at the door and at a remote PC, which can also
immediately relay the signal to a variety of remote event notification devices so
caregivers can respond before an elopement event occurs.
Code Alert® Wireless Call
The Code Alert Wireless Call Solution allows residents to alert caregivers that they need
assistance wherever they happen to be inside of the facility. A mobile call pendant with an
alert button can be worn, and if pressed, the central server sounds an alert to notify the
caregiver. Fixed call stations such as Nurse Call Cords and Pull Cord Stations can also
easily be integrated into the system. Here again, the resident’s name and location can
be sent to a variety of remote communications devices to allow for immediate response.
Code Alert® Fall Management and Incontinence Detection
The Code Alert Wireless Fall & Incontinence Solution notifies caregivers when a resident is at
risk of falling, when an incontinence event has occurred, when the resident calls for
assistance, or when a resident needs to be repositioned. This solution helps reduce the
risk of falls, related injuries, and pressure ulcers by sending an alert to the Integrated
Care Management System, which can then be immediately sent to a mobile caregiver to
allow for the quickest possible response time.
Code Alert® Remote Event Notification
The Code Alert Integrated Care Management software can send immediate system alerts
to a variety of fully integrated remote event notification devices including QuickLook
LED displays, the Care Manager two-way pager, and many phone systems in use by
facilities today, including Spectralink, Avaya, and Cisco. The software can also send
e-mails to any networked PC or text messages to any cell phone.
Voice-to-Voice and Point of Care Capture Capability
With the optional Code Alert Cisco® Messaging Interface and a Cisco Phone System,
caregivers not only have quick access to remote event notification, but can also conduct
hands free voice-to-voice communications with residents and classify events at the point
of care. With just one touch on their handheld phone, caregivers can immediately speak
with residents through the speaker on the nearest phone to ascertain the nature of the
alert, and in case of an emergency, reassure them while sending help. When the
caregiver arrives at the point of care, they can use the handheld phone to classify the
cause of the request, allowing them to continue on with their activities without having to
return to the central workstation.
Code Alert® Data Capture and Reporting
By combining all of RF Technologies’ Code Alert systems onto a single platform, Code
Alert Integrated Care Management allows for complete collection, analysis, and reporting
of all data related to wandering, assistance requests, and fall events to be recorded and
reported using the system software. These reports can be used to target care to specific
individuals as well as improve the efficiency and quality of staff response.
