Initiative 124 concerns the health, safety and labor standards for all Seattle hotel employees. The law will go into effect between November 29 and December 6, 2016


All hotels, regardless of size, must follow these specific requirements in the initiative:  


Protecting Hotel Employees from Violent Assault and Sexual Harassment
Protecting Hotel Employees from Injury (i.e. Chemical Hazards)
Preventing Disruptions in the Hotel Industry
PANIC BUTTON: An emergency contact device carried by an employee which the employee may summon immediate on-scene assistance from another employee, security guard, or representative of the hotel employer.
